Testimonials

Moving to Los Angeles from Nebraska to pursue my career in the entertainment industry was hard enough! Pursuing it without full confidence in my smile was a burden. I found it very difficult to be "on" in front of the camera when deep down I knew my teeth needed work. In an industry where the standard of beauty is almost perfection, being good at what you do is not enough. You have to look great and your smile is key.

I spent a few years researching and consulting with cosmetic dentists in L.A. until I decided to take another look around. I am so glad I did!

From my first consultation to my final appointment and photo shoot, Dr. Sesemann and his team were extremely professional, caring and genuine. I was also immediately impressed with the high-tech yet beautiful office, Dr. Sesemann's expertise and the smiles all around!

If you are considering cosmetic dentistry, no matter where you live, Dr. Sesemann and his team are well worth traveling for. They are the best in their field, they care and they want you to be happy with your smile. I am ecstatic about mine! I feel beautiful; my teeth are perfectly tailored to me and they look natural. I needed a camera-ready smile and now I have it. What a wonderful experience!

During my senior year of high school, I recognized some discoloration in one of my upper central incisors. However the slightly yellow discolored tooth didn’t cause any discomfort and was only apparent in certain photographs and by close family and friends. Months passed and the tooth became darker in color and more noticeable. I became very self-conscience and found myself not wanting to smile for pictures. I had always taken pride in my smile that took my orthodontist over four years to perfect and after months of reluctant smiling, I decided it was time to visit a cosmetic dentist.

I was referred to Dr. Karry Whitten by a family friend and learned that my incisor was actually calcifying and that I would ultimately lose the tooth. I was devastated, but quickly realized that Dr. Whitten would be able to create a veneer to perfectly replicate the discolored tooth and mirror my healthy incisor.

The process of getting a single veneer that replicates another tooth (a noticeable central incisor, may I add) is no easy task. Dr. Whitten and her staff at NICD made me feel like my satisfaction was their top priority. I had the pleasure of getting to know all of the ladies in the office and they were nothing but wonderful, genuine, gentle and compassionate. The office was immaculate, the technology was top of the line and the atmosphere was welcoming and homey.

After many sessions of photographs and perfecting the shading, texture, size and color of the veneer, it was complete. I could not have been more satisfied and thrilled with the final product, My veneer perfectly mirrored my other central incisor and my family and friends were extremely impressed and when I meet new people and told them that one of my front teeth was in fact a veneer they are amazed!

I recommend Dr. Whitten and the staff at NICD to anyone who doesn’t feel 100 percent confident in their smile.

Dr. Sesemann was my dentist when I lived in Omaha in the early ‘90s and is again now that I’ve moved back. In between I worked in a number of markets and saw a variety of dentists.  None of them realized I had extensive dental work until they saw my radiographs. When I told them Dr. Sesemann had done the dentistry, nobody was surprised.

About six years ago, I received Botox from one of Omaha’s finest cosmetic surgeons. It went like this: I go in for a mole check. The doctor suggests the Botox special; I say, "OK"; out comes the syringe and about 30 injections later, I leave.

My moles were fine but it was a bit of a shock to my wallet. And that’ s how my face looked for awhile – in a constant state of surprise.

Recently another special offer led me to discover the talents of Dr. Karry Whitten. Not only did I already know her to be a skilled and compassionate dentist, I was impressed to learn her credentials in the area of cosmetic injections. I decided to give it another try.

Let’s just say that this was entirely different than my previous experience.

Before the procedure, Dr. Whitten thoroughly studied the wrinkle patterns and musculature of my face using a combination of photos and touch. She asked questions about what I wanted to achieve, explained what she was going to do and why, and was concerned about how I was feeling. As the days go by, I’m extremely pleased with the results. No surprise! I won’t wait six years again.

Growing up with a father for a dentist, I have always known the importance of dental health. Even with that background, I had no idea how cosmetic dentistry could transform a smile into feelings of confidence, comfort and joy.

For years I have done national speaking, and had a private practice in counseling and psychiatry. Prior to Dr. Sesemann's reconstructive dentistry, I did not realize how often I pulled my lip down to cover the excessive gum tissue I was showing when I laughed and smiled. Having the cosmetic dental procedure removed the mental clutter of self-consciousness.

Teeth:  They may seem like small deal, but I can honestly say that the procedure Dr. Sesemann did for me has had a tremendous impact on how I feel about myself.
