Danielle, patient of Dr. Whitten

During my senior year of high school, I recognized some discoloration in one of my upper central incisors. However the slightly yellow discolored tooth didn’t cause any discomfort and was only apparent in certain photographs and by close family and friends. Months passed and the tooth became darker in color and more noticeable. I became very self-conscience and found myself not wanting to smile for pictures. I had always taken pride in my smile that took my orthodontist over four years to perfect and after months of reluctant smiling, I decided it was time to visit a cosmetic dentist.

I was referred to Dr. Karry Whitten by a family friend and learned that my incisor was actually calcifying and that I would ultimately lose the tooth. I was devastated, but quickly realized that Dr. Whitten would be able to create a veneer to perfectly replicate the discolored tooth and mirror my healthy incisor.

The process of getting a single veneer that replicates another tooth (a noticeable central incisor, may I add) is no easy task. Dr. Whitten and her staff at NICD made me feel like my satisfaction was their top priority. I had the pleasure of getting to know all of the ladies in the office and they were nothing but wonderful, genuine, gentle and compassionate. The office was immaculate, the technology was top of the line and the atmosphere was welcoming and homey.

After many sessions of photographs and perfecting the shading, texture, size and color of the veneer, it was complete. I could not have been more satisfied and thrilled with the final product, My veneer perfectly mirrored my other central incisor and my family and friends were extremely impressed and when I meet new people and told them that one of my front teeth was in fact a veneer they are amazed!

I recommend Dr. Whitten and the staff at NICD to anyone who doesn’t feel 100 percent confident in their smile.
